Noida: A tragic event occurred late Monday night in Barola village, where a man was fatally stabbed in Noida's Sector 49. Authorities responded promptly to the scene, apprehending the suspect. The body of the victim was subsequently taken for a post-mortem examination.
Details of the Incident
As per information from Noida Zone ADCP Sumit Shukla, the murder was committed by the victim's friend. Reports indicate that the two were drinking together and playing cards when a disagreement arose, leading to a violent confrontation. The victim, identified as Kapil alias Kapila, son of Omprakash and a resident of JJ Colony in Sector 49, was stabbed during the altercation.
Nature of the Injuries
ADCP Shukla elaborated that the accused, Jitendra, and Kapil frequently consumed alcohol together. During the incident, Kapil suffered multiple stab wounds to his stomach and chest, resulting in severe injuries that caused his immediate death.
Accused's Attempt to Evade Arrest
After the stabbing, Jitendra fled the scene and barricaded himself in his home. Local residents, alerted by the commotion, pursued him and notified the police. Authorities arrived and successfully gained entry to the room where he was hiding, leading to his arrest.
